In one of the sharpest criticisms of his counterpart in Moscow, US President Donald Trump called Vladimir Putin “absolutely crazy” over the escalation of Russia's ongoing war with Ukraine. In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, Trump accused Putin of "needlessly killing a lot of people" as Russia launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022.
