The Karnataka High Court has taken suo motu cognisance of the stampede incident outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, where eleven people died during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title win celebrations. Based on media reports, the court registered a suo motu public interest litigation (PIL) and scheduled a hearing for 2.30 pm today. A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice V Kameshwara Rao and Justice CM Joshi is hearing the matter.
