About the Position Overview:The Infrastructure Head will oversee all infrastructure-related activities to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role involves managing brownfield and greenfield projects, capex and budgeting, cold room partnerships, team management, stakeholder management, and project management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure development, project management, and the perishable goods industry. Key Responsibilities:1. Brownfield and Greenfield Projects:Lead the planning, design, and implementation of brownfield and greenfield infrastructure projectsCoordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely project completionEnsure all infrastructure projects meet operational needs and regulatory standards 2. Project Management:Oversee all infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetUtilize project management methodologies and tools to track progress, manage resources, and mitigate risksCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and handover 3.Capex Management and Budgeting:Develop and manage capital expenditure budgets for infrastructure projectsMonitor and report on capex spending, ensuring projects remain within budgetConduct cost-benefit analyses to guide investment decisionsMaintain comprehensive records of all infrastructure projects, budgets, and maintenance activitiesPrepare regular reports for senior management on infrastructure performance, project status, and budget adherenceEnsure all infrastructure documentation is up to date and easily accessiblePlan and execute proper and cost-effective inventory transfer at the start and end of each season at each facility 4.Cold Room Partnerships:Identify and establish partnerships with cold storage providersNegotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure optimal storage conditions for perishable goodsMonitor cold room performance and address any operational issues promptly5.Team Management:Lead and manage the infrastructure team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluationsFoster a collaborative and productive work environmentSet clear goals and expectations for team members and provide ongoing support and development6.Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodiesCommunicate project status, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders regularlyEnsure stakeholder requirements and expectations are met or exceeded7.Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement:Develop and implement processes to improve infrastructure efficiency and reduce downtimeEnsure all infrastructure-related activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulationsContinuously evaluate and improve infrastructure performance through regular assessments and feedback loopsImplement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency8.Risk Management:Identify potential risks associated with infrastructure projects and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure contingency plans are in place for infrastructure-related emergencies, including rain, wind, and waterlogging.Monitor and address any compliance issues related to infrastructure operations.9.Working Conditions:The role requires travel to various project sites and partner locationsFlexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed to oversee projects and address urgent issues10.Experience & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.At least 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure project management and procurement, preferably within the supply chain industry.Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects and leading procurement teams.Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.Proficient in project management software and procurement tools.Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. no -- Principals only.
